Many of you may have noticed a very famous torch travelling the length and breadth of Great Britain in the run up to the London 2012 Olympic Games. The bearers of the Torch had the opportunity to carry it for their achievements, successes and accomplishments to causes across the UK and beyond.
One of these bearers was Lucy Caslon, who was lucky enough to be part of the Olympic Torch Relay for her work with children in Africa. Lucy is the founder of Msizi Africa, www.msiziafrica.org.uk, a charity that works to give children access to nutritious food and shelter.
In order to raise funds for her cause, Lucy made the most of the Torch opportunity and decided to visit companies to offer employees the chance to hold the Torch in a photo opportunity in return for a small donation to Msizi Africa. Obviously, PHD jumped at the chance.
Thanks to Lucy, PHD managed to raise £148.45 which will feed a child for a year and a half. Thanks so much to Lucy and we hope to come up with more ways to support her cause in the future.
